The variety of news stories this past week in Foothill Ranch surprised me. A group of residents is fighting the Walmart expansion in court. The City of Lake Forest is going ahead with the Alton Parkway extension. The City also celebrated the park renovations. Wet Seal is having a bad quarter. A man got arrested for pointing a gun at his neighbor. Jonathan Lansner, the OC Register, pronounced Foothill Ranch the worst real estate market in South OC. Chipotle restaurant is coming to Foothill.

They deserve credit for helping the firefighters keep our homes safe when we had that horrible fire last summer by keeping the brush under control. They do a lot for $70 per home. Compared to other communities in South County our HOA dues are very low and last year we got one month free because the HOA has plenty of reserves.
It is pink slip season again and we are sad that some of our teachers will not be back in September.
Tonight the City of Lake Forest hosted a party at Alton Park. They provided hotdogs, chips and bottled water. There were games for the kids and Mayor Mark Tettemer and his wife were there to celebrate the renovated park. The kids and I had a great time. The boys did not want to leave!

The idea here is to provide a community forum for Foothill Ranch California. A place to talk about Trabuco Hills High Mustang football or any other topic of local interest. Such as my favorite real estate market trends and properties. What do you think about the latest news in Foothill Ranch? Did you hear about the proposed sports park?
